Postcard love

Maybe you’re holding one of my postcards in your hand right now – and maybe you’re wondering who’s behind it. That’s why I’m going to tell you the story here.

The first time I was in Paul do Mar, I immediately fell in love with the place. I remember exactly how strong this feeling was – as if my heart had said: “This is where I want to stay.” I felt at home right from the start.

I was full of ideas, I wanted to teach yoga, give workshops, be creative – and I photographed a lot. This light, the colors, the mood – I couldn’t help myself.

At some point I realized that there are actually no postcards from Paul do Mar. And I could hardly find any nice ones from Madeira either – at least none that really appealed to me. So I made my own. With my favorite motifs – moments that mean something to me.

I had the cards printed in Germany before I moved to Madeira. Today you can buy them at Gato Legal in Ponta do Pargo – and every time I hear that another one has been sold, I’m delighted.

I hope that this card gives you a little Madeira energy – whether you have chosen it yourself or are giving it to someone as a gift. Sometimes I give them as gifts myself – just as a little reminder of this special place.
