A Sunday filled with art, movement, and community—that’s exactly what I recently had the opportunity to experience. The Montez Family Art Association, located beneath the impressive arches of the Honsell Bridge in Frankfurt, has long been an established cultural institution. In addition to exhibitions, jazz and classical concerts, Yoga Montez also takes place there – yoga embedded in art.
Every Sunday, the space opens for an inspiring yoga class: Hatha, Kundalini, Yin, sometimes even breathwork or ecstatic dance—every week is different, every class is special. Afterwards, there is often tea or cake and an opportunity to linger and chat with others.
I particularly like the flexible donation-based pricing system: 10 talers (basic), 15 talers (balance), 20 talers (abundance) – truly fair and open to everyone. Click here to visit the Instagram account where all dates are published.
And after that? A walk along the Main River or a detour to the skate park – simply relaxing and enriching. Yoga at Montez is art, movement, and communal experience all rolled into one.
